Supporting the Next Generation at MMD Construction

A big thank you to all of our Placement and Summer Students who joined us at MMD Construction this year! 👏

Our Placement Students, currently undertaking third-level studies in Engineering, Construction Management and Quantity Surveying, gained hands-on experience working alongside our teams and developing their knowledge and practical skills across our projects.

We were also delighted to welcome a number of Summer Students from second-level education across our site teams. For many, this was their first opportunity to experience a live construction environment and gain an insight into the range of roles and career opportunities available within the construction industry. Throughout their time with us, they had the opportunity to see first-hand how our projects are delivered, learn from experienced members of our teams and gain valuable practical experience.

As part of our focus on learning and development, we were delighted to bring some of our students and current graduates together for a dedicated day of learning and networking, with a focus on Lean and the Last Planner System. The day provided an opportunity to share experiences, build connections and develop their understanding of Lean principles and collaborative planning, combining classroom-based learning with practical application on site.

It has been great to see the enthusiasm, commitment and fresh perspectives our students have brought to MMD throughout their time with us.

As they return to college and school, we wish them every success for the year ahead and hope the experience, skills and knowledge gained during their time with MMD will stand to them in their studies and future careers.

A big thank you also to all of our teams who took the time to support, mentor and share their knowledge with our students throughout their time with MMD.
