Supporting Employee Health and Wellbeing at MMD Construction
As part of our 2026 Wellbeing Calendar, MMD Construction recently organised a number of initiatives focused on supporting employee health and wellbeing across our offices and sites.
Annual Employee Health Checks
On 30th September and 8th October, our HR Department organised our annual employee health checks, working with our teams across our offices and sites to give employees the opportunity to take time out of their working day to focus on their health.
The health checks are an important part of our annual wellbeing activities, encouraging employees to be proactive about their health and highlighting the importance of regular check-ups and early intervention.
It was great to see employees taking the opportunity to participate and prioritise their health.
World Mental Health Day – Taking Time Out
To mark World Mental Health Day on 10th October, our HR Department worked closely with our site teams to roll out mental health awareness toolbox talks across MMD Construction.
This year’s message, Life is not always Hunky Dory, Take Time Out to talk about Mental Health, was a simple reminder of the importance of taking a moment to stop, talk and look out for one another.
The toolbox talks encouraged open conversations around mental health, reminded employees of the importance of checking in with colleagues and highlighted the confidential support and resources available to anyone working in the construction industry, including those provided by the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity.
A particular thank you to our site teams for supporting this initiative, delivering the toolbox talks and helping to ensure these important messages reached employees across our projects.
These initiatives are an important part of our ongoing commitment to employee wellbeing at MMD Construction, helping to raise awareness, encourage conversations and remind employees that support is always available.
