St. Kevin’s – Engineering Through Elevation

Currently under construction for the The Land Development Agency, the St. Kevin’s Housing Development is being delivered as a Design & Build contract by MMD Construction on a complex, technically demanding sloped site in Shanakiel, Cork. The terrain required early-stage precision and close coordination, particularly during the earthworks phase.
“This site is all about the topography, stepped and curved retaining walls, deep drainage manholes, and intricate brick detailing make it one of the more complex builds”, says Contracts Manager Martin Vaughan.
To meet these challenges, we have deployed our state-of-the-art GPS-controlled plant equipment, enabling enhanced accuracy and efficiency across the site. In parallel, rigorous quality control protocols are in place to ensure every element – from structural form to fine brickwork is delivered with precision.
