MMD Construction Takes on Galtymore in Support of the Lighthouse Charity

On Saturday, 15th August, members of the MMD Construction team  took on Galtymore, one of Ireland’s highest mountains, in support of the Lighthouse Charity.

The hike brought colleagues together for a fantastic day in the outdoors, all while raising awareness and funds for a cause that is particularly important to our industry.

The Lighthouse Charity provides vital emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families across Ireland and the UK. As an organisation operating within the construction industry, we are proud to support the important work they do and to play our part in promoting wellbeing throughout our sector.

Our fundraising efforts began in the lead-up to the hike, with colleagues across MMD getting involved in an office “PotLuck Lunch” and site coffee mornings and making generous donations in support of the challenge.

On the morning of the hike, the team gathered bright and early at MMD Head Office before travelling to Galtymore, where we met our guides and prepared for the climb ahead. The hike was a great opportunity for colleagues from across the business to spend time together away from the usual working environment, support one another along the route and enjoy some spectacular scenery along the way.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the hike, supported our fundraising activities, donated or helped organise the day.
