Lighthouse Charity Joins MMD Ahead of Hell & Back

We had the pleasure of welcoming Fergus Farrell and Andy Bishop from the The Lighthouse Charity to several of our MMD sites. Their visit was not only an opportunity to connect directly with our teams on the ground, but also a powerful reminder of the mental health and wellbeing supports available to everyone in the construction industry.

The Lighthouse Charity provides free, 24/7 support to construction workers and their families across Ireland and the UK, covering everything from mental health and emotional support to financial and legal advice. Fergus and Andy took the time to speak with our teams on the ground, share their personal stories along with vital information about the Lighthouse Charity and highlight just how accessible these services are. It was an incredibly positive and valuable day for everyone involved.

Preparing for Hell & Back – With the Right Support

Their visit comes at a perfect time as we gear up for our Hell & Back challenge on the 7th of June 2025, where members of the MMD team will put themselves to the test in one of Ireland’s toughest physical events, all in the name of team spirit and wellbeing.

Hell & Back is more than just a physical challenge. It is about resilience, camaraderie, and pushing ourselves while knowing we have each other’s backs, on and off the course. That is why the work of the Lighthouse Charity is so aligned with what we are trying to foster at MMD: a culture where mental and physical wellbeing are equally prioritised.
