MMD Construction Wins at the Irish Construction Excellence Awards 2025

We are proud to announce that MMD Construction has won an award at the Irish Construction Excellence (ICE) Awards 2025 for our Barrack Street Housing Project, delivered in partnership with our client Cork City Council – Comhairle Cathrach Chorcaí.

This prestigious award recognises excellence in construction across Ireland, and we are honoured that Barrack Street has been acknowledged for its quality, innovation, and contribution to addressing urgent housing needs in the heart of Cork City.

The Barrack Street project involved the transformation of a brownfield site into 31 high-quality, energy-efficient residential units, integrating new construction with the sensitive refurbishment and fit-out of existing buildings. The development enhances city living, promotes sustainability, and supports the local community with much-needed homes.

This win marks our second consecutive ICE Award, following last year’s success with the Springville House project, also delivered for Cork City Council. Both projects demonstrate our commitment to building homes that matter—delivering urban regeneration, sustainable design, and social impact.
