Scoil Naomh Eltin

This project consisted of the demolition of an existing 834m² single storey school building and the construction of a new two storey 2,366m² school. Dónal was the Senior Engineer on the project which consisted of the following elements;

• Demolition of the existing 834m² single storey school building, particular care was given in evaluating the Asbestos Survey of the existing building and ensuring safe disposal of asbestos containing materials off site.
• Careful decommissioning and removal of existing underground ESB cables which serviced the demolished school.
• Construction of a 16 classroom two storey 2,366m² school building consisting of 16 classrooms, a general-purpose hall, library, support accommodation and all ancillary works. Two new vehicular and pedestrian entrances from Roseabbey Park, 26 on-site carpark spaces, set-down areas, pedestrian and cycle pathways, ballcourts, play areas, bin store, bicycle shelter, signage and landscaping as part of the overall site development works on a site area of 0.85ha.
