ALDI Graiguenamanagh

This project consisted of the construction of a new ALDI food store at Graiguenamanagh, Co. Kilkenny, with a gross floor area of 1,608m2. Prior to the construction works commencing, existing buildings which occupied the site were demolished. The works took place adjacent to Duiske River, therefore very careful attention was paid to protect the river from construction waste water run-off. Surface water run-off from the excavations was not permitted to drain onto the adjacent public roads, third party properties or the Duiske River. A temporary cofferdam with internal pumps was constructed to manage the waste run-off. Included in the works was a substantial upgrade and widening to a vehicular bridge which is used to access the new food store.
