About the Role:

MMD Construction is seeking a Concrete Foreman to supervise and coordinate reinforced concrete works on site in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and construction standards, ensuring that all work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and implement construction drawings and relevant reinforced steel layout drawings and details and ensure works are carried out in accordance with design and specification.
  • Understand and implement temporary works drawings for form work and manage plant and materials to implement such temporary works designs.
  • Supervise and manage both direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring safety, productivity and quality targets are met
  • Ensure compliance with Building Regulations and BC(A)R.
  • Plan and coordinate labour, plant, and materials to meet the construction programme.
  • Work closely with the Site Engineer to ensure setting-out and dimensional accuracy.
  • Ensure high standards of quality.
  • Liaise with the wider project team regarding coordination, deliveries, and resource needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, labour hours, deliveries, and plant use.
  • Support the Quality Control process, ensuring all hold points and inspections are completed.
  • Report directly to the Project Manager on progress, safety, and any technical or resourcing issues

 

 

 

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity on RC works (e.g., civils, infrastructure, or RC frame projects).
  • Strong understanding of formwork systems and rebar fixing techniques.
  • Proven track record in managing direct labour and subcontractors.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and method statements.
  • Knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and Construction Regulations
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Valid Safe Pass
