About the Role

MMD Construction are seeking to hire a Construction Scheduler to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with construction experience to work on a wide range of exciting projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project planning and execution across multiple sites, working closely with site teams, quantity surveyors, and project managers.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and update project schedules using Microsoft Project, encompassing the full project scope, key milestones, and timelines, using Critical Path Methodology (CPM).
  • Prepare tender and construction programmes and methodologies for both traditional and design & build projects.
  • Produce lookahead programmes, progress trackers, and assist in developing as-built programmes.
  • Support project teams by identifying risks and offering planning solutions.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders including site teams, QS teams, and project managers etc.
  • Facilitate white board meetings to review programme status and collaborate on weekly planning.
  • Assist in establishing project resource requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning processes and reporting tools.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as required.

 

Candidate Requirements

  • A relevant third-level qualification in Construction, Engineering, or Project Management or comparable construction industry experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project is essential.
  • Strong IT skills, with the ability to produce clear reports and planning documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities with a proactive approach to meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of planning software or lean scheduling tools (e.g., Last Planner, Primavera) is an advantage.
