HR Coordinator
MMD Construction are seeking a proactive and highly organised HR Coordinator to support the daily functions of the Human Resources department. As a HR Coordinator, you will assist in the coordination of various HR activities such as recruitment, employee onboarding, record-keeping, compliance, and overall support for HR operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring smooth HR processes and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with team members, managers and other departments across all sites and deliver improvements and consistency in Human Resource processes.
- Assist in the recruitment process by coordinating job postings, managing applicant tracking, and scheduling interviews.
- Liaise with hiring managers to ensure smooth communication and scheduling during the recruitment process.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparation of contracts, orientation scheduling, and ensuring compliance with required paperwork.
- Manage the offboarding process by preparing exit documentation and organizing exit interviews.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other legal requirements.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of HR-related documentation such as contracts, policies, and performance reviews.
- Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and general procedures.
- Provide administrative support for employee relations issues and escalate matters to the HR Manager as needed.
- Negotiate with external advertising and recruitment agencies to secure the most favourable terms for the company.
- Support the coordination of training programs and professional development initiatives, ensuring compliance with CPD (Continuing Professional Development) requirements.
- Track employee progress and development plans in coordination with managers.
- Assist in various HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Other HR Related Tasks as required and as assigned by the HR Manager
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR Management.
- 1+ years of experience in an HR role, preferably in the construction or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of Irish employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience managing recruitment, employee relations, and compliance.
- An understanding of the construction industry is desirable but not essential.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Hands-on experience working with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English is essential.
